Advitya has its genesis in the Sanskrit word ‘advitiya’ which translates into Unique, Unmatched and Incomparable – much like the special ones we serve.
VISION
To foster compassion, kindness and inclusion in the world.
WHO WE ARE
Established in the August of 2000, Advitya is a creative centre for those gifted with conditions like Down’s syndrome, Autism and Cerebral Palsy among others. These special ones are part of the Advitya family under exceptional circumstances, one of the most notable being their inability to adjust with larger groups in other special institutes due to their need for individual attention or their growing age.
All our students are above the age of 18 years and are involved in occupational therapy whereby they are engaged in adding value to a multitude of handicrafts. We give our special ones a lease to their imagination and creativity through various activity modules focused on developing fine motor movement, better eye-hand coordination and overall mental well-being. We believe in the power of colours, music and story-telling and extensively use them as therapeutic methods for our special ones.
Our aim is to enhance the lives of people with different abilities by leveraging their individual skills, build confidence in them through vocation, provide their families with a robust support system and create awareness about the cause.
